If you are one of the millions of Americans who has no dental insurance, that doesn’t mean you should give up on paying for dental care you need. This is especially true for preventive treatments that all individuals need to prevent dental disease. Of course, dental insurance can also be difficult to deal with, especially when they don’t cover treatments you initially thought would. That’s where the San Pedro Smiles Membership Plan comes in. With this program, both individuals and families can make dental care more affordable. Contact our office to get enrolled or learn more about the plan!
When you need preventive dental care, Dr. Gonzalez’s membership plan has you covered. Take a moment to consider the coverage patients can expect based on their needs:
Child Complete - $15/mo or $180/yr (13 and younger)
Adult Complete - $18/mo or $216/yr (14 and older)
Perio - $27/mo or $324/yr (14 and older)
The membership plan offered at San Pedro Smiles is not dental insurance, largely because it does not carry many of the same drawbacks of typical insurance plans. For example, it does not try to hide costs that may appear later, which is common for dental insurance. There are no deductibles, waiting periods, annual maximums, denials of claims, or pre-approvals. Once you sign up for the plan, the benefits are available for immediate use and run for 12 months as soon as you join. There’s no specific timeframe you need to apply for the membership in either, another common trait for dental insurance.
Maintaining coverage is as simple as making sure your payments are current. Choosing a plan that provides both annual and monthly payment arrangements makes it easier for families, who typically have less predictable expenses, to afford care. Thanks to the transparent price model, you don’t have to worry about whether or not you’ll be able to afford care for a certain treatment. While the plan cannot be combined with dental insurance, it does offer an additional route to pay for or obtain discounts on services not typically covered by insurance (such as dental implants.)
